Biological-minded prosthetics for proper soft tissue care and aesthetics
Aesthetics is demanded by our patients in daily practice, however, no adequate aesthetics could be obtained in the absence of health. In order to combine both goals of therapy, health and aesthetics, biological concepts need to be taken into account before, during and after therapy to assure that the prosthetic design 1)does respect the biological width, both at teeth and implants, 2)does allow for proper access for cleaning and, at the same time, 3)does fulfil our patient´s aesthetic demands. This presentation will discuss the way we plan and treat our patients with biological-minded prosthetics.
